This afternoon Evan walk into a swinging golf club that tagged him in the mouth, thankfully just by a five year old, but still bad enough to visit the ER. He started out with a hole in the bottom left corner of his mouth, I'm guessing is bottom tooth helped create that hole. He ended up with one stitch inside his mouth and three on the outside. When we returned home I called the dentist and they made us come in right away. Thankfully he just had x-rays and teeth cleaning, so they had before and after pictures of his teeth. So far the Doctor says that his teeth look OK, but we will go back on Wednesday for a check up. The doctor did say that because of this accident his teeth could still rot 30 years from now, I'll pray that they don't. Tuesday he will get the stitches out of his lip and chin/face area. Then it's back to playing hard during the rest of summer, hopefully a little more safer though.
He seems to be feeling OK now, but I'm sure tomorrow will bring on some pain. He is on a liquid soft food diet for the next couple of days. My poor boy..He was so sweet today thanking Grandma for coming to the hospital, he said he was glad she come. He also said at the Dentist that he "thought that this day would never come." AAAHHHH!!! What a tough way to learn that we never know when something bad will happen.
I always knew I wasn't cut out for events like these and that was just proven today. The site of blood almost made me sick. Putting in stitches and being awake made my stomach turn, I literally had to stare down at the floor during the procedure. After I got home, my stomach turn into nots. Thank goodness I had class and could focus on something different for awhile, because as soon as I got home and saw Evan my stomach started to turn again. No one ever said it would be easy having children, times like this test your will & your strength..WHOOSH!!! I have to stop, I'm making my self upset..Tomorrow will bring brighter smiles & better times...
Love ya'll,
The Tree's
I hope your day was better..
PS Thanks Kathy for your help...

OUCH!! I feel the pain!! Just before Alaina was born Trenton had received his first set of real golf clubs and Brayden walked right into a swinging nine iron!! Hit Brayden right above his eye and he had to get about 5 or six stitches. Then a couple Summer's ago Trenton sliced the bottom of his foot right open!! You could see the tendons and everything! Talk about feeling sick!! The fun of raising children!! PTL for insurance!!
I hope you are feeling better today Evan!
