Where do I save the most money?

This has been the question ever since we got a Super Walmart here. I normally shop at Kroger because I usually spend enough to save 30 cents off on gas. After going back in forth from one store to the other I'm finding that I get way more at Walmart for my money than Kroger. I shopped at Wal-Martie tonight at 9 in the evening and picked up extra items that are not normally on my list along with clearanced out winter boots for Syd, a t-shirt for a dollar, lots of cleaning things, Tylenol, claratin, and vitamins for the kids. My budget is always trying to stick near the 180's for two weeks worth of groceries, of course I do have to go back in a week for milk and bread, this trip I spent 171.71 with 15 dollars in coupons. I'm pretty happy about this, I think that I will continue to shop at Wal-Mart even though I'm sure there are people that would disagree with choosing this place to shop. Just remember I'm feeding a family of five on one income, I have to do what is best for us at the time...

There are consequences that go far beyond saving some money for yourself when you shop at a Wal-Mart. You can find countless reference materials that describes less than desirable practices on the part of Wal-Mart that results in, often-times, extremely unhealthy changes to local economy.

I would suggest spreading it around some.
