A little school work..

So for my on-line class (Marketing Seminar) we have a weekly assignment that needs to be about a Failed Product. Last week was something in technology, this week was either a food or drink that had failed. Here is my food product:
Here is what I found, this picture that undoubtedly looks like a jar of baby food. I selected this product because I found it to be just down right entertaining.

Gerber released these jars of food in 1974 that contained small servings of food meant for single adults. Gerber offered wonderful flavors such as pureed Mediterranean vegetables, beef burgundy, blueberry delight and creamed beef. Gerber had this idea that people were using baby food for baking, cooking and trying their baby’s food during feedings. So why wouldn't consumers think this is great? Well the reviews were in and within weeks it was pulled from the shelves. Go Gerber!
