Thank goodness for Dad!

I say 'thank goodness for Dad' because if it weren't for him one of our kids would have gone on their field trip alone. Of course it couldn't have been Syd on her first or Evan's on is first to Camp and I had already paid to go on Evan's before we knew about Sydney's. At Evan's school they have an overwhelming amount of parents that sign up to go on Field Trips, so many that they have to draw parents names to see who is the lucky child who gets to have a parent with them.
So here is are beautiful Fall day in Michigan.
Lake Copneconic (I'm sure I spelled this wrong) The trees were a vibrant color of red..
Evan went on a hike through the woods, stopping here and there to look at different things. Trees with holes, a tree that had been twisted from a Tornado literally, lots of wild turkey, an old tree that took 15 kids to stand around, a mule that bit his finger (maybe), and sat in a bird blind.

Next, it was to the Cold-blooded room, yes with snakes, turtles and lizards. He was so proud of himself for touching and holding this snake. Why? Because Elissa never would have..

Here is Evan's teacher hugging the snake.

Then we got a lesson in building a fire, here is Evan helping bring logs to the campfire.

Here is the reward for being the first group of the day to actually get a fire started.

After lunch and activities we headed down to the big campfire for a little entertainment from the camp hosts'. This was the wizard that roams the woods and can tell your future by sniffing your left shoe. Like this:
It was quite gross to watch, but very funny at the same time.

Evan is getting involve in the FrankenStein song, which helped to keep Frank away because he ate the little children.
All in all, it was a glorious day, the weather was perfect, the air was warm and the sun was shining. The kids all had a wonderful time. Thank you, Thank you..
