Weight loss and recent happenings!

Saturday was little mans 8 th birthday. Evan is getting so big so fast. This year he ask to have a big cookie from Miss Fields instead of cake, he really isn't a fan of cake I guess. This year was the year of money for him and gifts, maybe because all he likes to do is play video games so know one knows what to get him, including me.
But the boy is smart he is in second grade and reading at a fourth grade level and loves numbers, also doing above average work in Math. To know Evan is to know that he loves numbers, he wants to know how far, how tall, how wide, how big everything is. One of his questions lately has been "Has any one lived 1 million days?" Another great question that he has asked was "How far to Heaven?" I believe he figured "169 miles" mmmmm! We all wonder now, right. Maybe Evan will specialize in finance when he grows up, maybe he'll be the one to get the banks out of the mess they are in today. If thats the case we have a while to wait..

So we are done with the high chair, we upgraded to a chair with a booster seat. So before we took it out of the house Syd had to give it a hug. Evan gave it a hug after the camera was off, but Elissa held out and thought we were crazy. This high chair has been around for 12 years it made it through all three, now that was an investment..
So I'm continuing on with losing weight, it is tough journey I must admit. Finding time to exercise and resisting things that I love, like cake and cookies. As I'm learning, the less you have these things the more it hurts my stomach when I do have them. This is a good thing in the long haul of things I suppose. I'm down 8 pounds and on Wednesday I will weigh in and once I hit 10 pounds my goals is to get my hair done. Now I have to set a goal for the next weight loss, I was thinking that at 15 pounds I would start trying on blue jeans to see if I have come down a pant size yet. Gosh I would hope that 15 pounds means one size smaller..!!! I think setting these goals will help me continue with this life changing event and keeping it off for life.
