What a Feeling..

Laura and Her Husband

Subject: An old friend

Hi Renee,

You may or may not remember me. I sat next to you in band class, yes band :) We were friends in 7th & 8th grade at Whittier Middle school, we both played the clarinet. I had long red-orange hair, big plastic glasses. I have a picture of you and I with some MC Hammer pants on in front of the school. I think it was after a lawn concert. It's quite funny.I wanted to go to Central for 9th grade, and my mom made me go to Southwestern, and you and I lost touch. I just wanted to let you know that the friendship you gave to me for those two years meant alot to me. You were funny, and kind to me when others were making fun of me, and a genuine good friend. I know it was a long time ago, and you are probably wondering why I am writing. I just wanted to say thank you! Your friendship and kindness will always be a good memory, and it meant alot to me. Thank you again,

I wish you and your family a healthy and blessed life.

Sincerely,

Laura Byrd Pilkey

Of course I remember Laura she was such a kind and caring individual. I wish that we had never lost contact. Maybe after this kind letter she sent me through facebook we will be able to reunite a friendship.

I read this yesterday when I was feeling extremely tired and needed to go to bed. I must say that it lifted my spirits and made feel great that I had touch someones life this way. What a great way to end a day! I wish I had a picture to share of us when we were younger, because I know I have some somewhere still at my Mom's..

Hope that someone else gets a kind letter like this one :)
Enjoy your day!
