Eventful Day

• Took Evan to school late. Ready for summer break.
• Kathy volunteered to watch Syd while I went to the gym, so I went.
• Got a text from Syd & Kathy "Lets go on a tuckernuck" that stands for picnic.
• Come home from gym change clothes, get ready for tuckernuck.
• Sarah ask "do you have another tennis rack" I responsed "sure do, it's in the basement"
• Open the door to the basement and discover water at the bottom of the stairs.
• Realize the treadmill is beeping over and over again, so I run back upstairs to get Sarah.
• Sarah is an expert to this kind of mess, I knew she know what to do and fast. I WAS RIGHT! Love when that happens..lol
• Sarah went into action with the help of her working boys and got things moving.
• Sump pump is replaced, thanks to Sarah and help from Tom. WHOOSH! It could have been so much worse, I've seen pictures of basements with 6 feet of water. Thank God it was just a little here and there.
• Elissa's carpet is wet in the closet and one corner, but we are thinking it is salvageable.
• Treadmill, well we are going to let it sit for a bit and see what happens..
