Magic Kingdom & Disney Holloyood Studios

Two weeks ago, just before school started, we took a trip to Florida originally for one of my long time Best-est friends wedding (Jamie), since we were going to be so close to Disney we decided to take advantage of going. We arrived on Monday, hung out in our room for a short bit and then headed to Downtown Disney. Downtown Disney was a collection of stores and restaurants and fun things to do. We ended up getting to the Lego shop just in the nick of time, a major down pour had arrived. We hung out watching the rain for a while hoping that it would let up so we could find a place for dinner, instead it kept raining and we made a mad dash to T-Rex eatery. T-Rex eatery was like a Rainforest cafe but with a dinosaur theme, it was a super fun place, not so warm, especially now that we are soak-n-wet and the air is on full force--burr! After dinner we walked around and did some dancing with the entertainers in the street and celebrated Tom's birthday a day early. The entertainers gave us 1st time buttons and a birthday pin for Tom. Evan admitted that that was super fun..It was!

The Castle at Night..WOW!!
The next day, Tuesday, we ventured to the magical place of Disney-Magic Kingdom. I've always watched the commercials and wondered if it was truly that magical and by golly it was. I had so much fun and then watching the kids having so much to was the magical part, then celebrating Tom's birthday on top of it all. The kids tried all the rides, Evan with a little push, Sydney with only a big smile.
The kids are watching the parade that comes down Main street in the afternoon. Syd was a little afraid of Captain Hook, this is why she is hiding behind my arm.

Then there was dancing in the streets with Mickey and friends, that was fun.. A visit with Jasmine and Aladdin and of course our souvenirs-Mickey Ears and a Goofy Hat.

Wednesday we slept in, boy were we tired. We hung out at the pool, did a little swimming in the sprinkles-hey we were already wet what the heck..:) Later that evening we took a trip over to International Drive a tourist trap of course but that's what we were so we went. We found the largest Most Unique entertaining McDonald's in the world and had dinner. Lucky for me and Tom they also had a deli so we didn't have to order McDee's. Inside was a version of a Chuckie cheese/arcade, but all in all it was fun and the kids thought it was the best.
We had debated whether or not to go to another Disney park for most of Wednesday and by the end of the evening we decided we should go for it. When might be the next time we get down here?

Thursday we went to Disney's Hollywood Studios-another long day of course but none the less super fun. There was only one ride that Syd was to short for and boy did it make her mad, she cried and ignored Dad the whole time she waited for us to get off the ride. It was a pretty big roller coaster all inside which helped Evan out. He couldn't see it which made it easier to convince him to ride it. It went from 0-60mph in a few seconds-wow-it was fast, Evan rode it twice and wanted more.
This was actually at the end of the night,we were headed to watch our last show-Fantastmic.

In line waiting to ride Toy Story Mania an awesome 4d ride. This ride had the longest wait time of all the rides we rode.
The trips to Disney were just amazing, the weather was hot and the kids were good, we all are ready to go back..
And then there was Friday: The Wedding
to be continued....
