sounds awful mean doesn't it? But that is kind of what we did on this particular day. The high school cross country team host a "dragon run" trying to get the elementary kids interested in running. The kids are to run a 1/2 mile around the middle school back field, not really racing by any means just running, of course some are racing certain people. So every year each elementary school from our area is allowed to have 60 kids participate and it's those that get their permission slip in first that are able to run. Evan has participated 2 or 3 years now and loves it.

Syd wanted to get in on the action so here she is crossing the finish line before every one else. So I guess she probably believes that she is the "winner."

It was a chilly and windy day and we were all a little cold, but none the less it didn't take long for Evan and Tom to warm up (parents could run this year also, I stayed back to take pictures of course and wait with Syd). Evan took off fast of course, I'm really thinking that Track would be is forte because not even half way through he was already walking and Tom was passing him. The great Dad that he is slowed down and waited for him to catch up. All in all he finished and has another ribbon that says he did so..

That second bird we hit with that stone was for Elissa, she had the opportunity to get extra credit in band if she showed up with her beautiful shiny flute and played some inspiring music to the runners and spectator's and that's exactly what she did.

I just love this picture of her, the wind blowing her hair just right, her beauty amazes me all the time. She is to darn pretty and it's just to darn scary!!
thanks for visiting...
Come again!!!
