So I updated but only pictures. Have been away for so long that things have changed. What is really crazy is that I really had no interest in updating until I went back to last year and read some old post and realized how nice it was to be able to have them to read. It is a public diary that I can share with my family and friends, memories of special events in our lives. So I've decided that I will try a little harder to continue to update.
So summer was pretty much me working and our household trying to cope with the big change. I did have every other weekend off this past summer and we spent those weekends well. One weekend we went to Michigan Adventure with the Denton's and spent the night there. The next day we went over to Sagatuck and did the Dune rides and swam in Lake Michigan, we had beautiful weather both days. Spending time with the Denton family is always fun. It always amazes me how well we do with 8 kids.
We spent are normal week in Gaylord camping, weather wasn't as nice as we like but it was still good. This was the first time that we got to share all our Otsego Lake Adventures with the neighbors, Sarah & Kathy, we had lots of fun telling or should I say listening to stories that Kathy told, some of those stories got us in trouble. So much trouble the ranger had to come and reminds us that it was quiet time, oops.
Did a day at the Renaissance Festival, the kids really enjoyed themselves jumping on the big trampolines and seeing all the crazy dressed people and the Jousting show. It was an extremely hot day. Also had our first Cold Stone ice cream, yummmmie...
To top off our summer we did group camp at Myers Lake and the weather was COLD & WINDY and the last rainy. But the kids still went swimming and ruled the camp ground. We had a total of 18 kids, I think.
The kids are back in school, Syd is all day now in First grade, Evan in fourth, and Elissa in High School as a freshman. Where does the time go?
Elissa is in swimming, band and Evan is is football. So right now everyday after work it is something going on.
I will try and keep you up to date.
