So the economy is bad, we are in a recession, people have no jobs. Grasp this:
The city of Flint's unemployment rate hit 27.3 percent in May, up more than 3 percentage points from the month before. In May, there were more than 14,700 people who were unemployed in Flint, according to state of Michigan data. Michigan's unemployment rate in June hit 15. 2 percent, up from April's 14.1 percent rate. Genesee County's unemployment rate was 16.5 percent in May and the state is expected to release new June data for the county next week. So what are we as citizens suppose to do? Tom is hanging only by a thread now, he has been put on a roll layoff (I think that's the term) he started this week with being layed off and then starting Monday he will work a week, then layoff one week, work a week and so on. This is suppose to last until the end of September (Maybe) unless his company is bought. Which brings the problem to another level. Will the company that is looking to buy offer enough for them to sell or will his company just fail? These have been the dilemmas since Last year, will someone buy or not? Will Germany sell or let the company fail? So far it's not looking so good.
So what are we doing? Going to try and survive on a 50% pay decrease and look for a new job and a job for me. We will survive by hopefully not living with our parents (Sorry Moms no offense). Here we go, the job search is on..bring it!!
