Michelle how are you doing?...
Evan has been playing soccer at the big bubble and doing very well. He is playing on a great team with some very talented boys, much better than the last organization he played on. All these boys are really into the sport and really love it and it shows. He already wants to play the next session.
- We had Thanksgiving here at the house, My Mom, Amy, Jerid, Jerid's sister Elizabeth and baby Jade, The in-laws including: Tom, Carla, sister Jackie, Ken, Kara and Lil Ashlyn were all here for dinner. We had a total of fourteen. It turned out wonderful, I bought a Jenni-O turkey that was already to cook, so all I had to do was toss it in the oven from the freezer and ta-da a yummy turkey. There was only one whoopies that day, I left the corn in the microwave and it never made it to the table, nor was ever warmed up..OOPPS!! Oh well no one mentioned that they were missing corn so there it sat. Tom discovered it later when he was warming up left overs. After dinner we played video games til evening hours it was a nice family visit.
- I have been on a job hunt that has been unsuccessful. I decided that at least for Christmas I would try to get a job in Retail. I tried a number of stores but had no takers. I think it was because of my new degree, but not really sure. So one week before Thanksgiving I went into Kohl's to see if I could get in on the Friends and Family bagging for the seasons (this pays and gives a discount) the store managers says "What you don't want to work?" I said "no not the case, thought you were done hiring" she replied "Nope, fill out the paper work and I'll hire you." So back to Kohl's I've gone!! It is nice to know that they were that willing to take me back, I was easy hire with no training, it was like riding a bike, I jumped on and peddled right back into things.
- Tom is still employed.....BUT he has been told that his lay off is coming. He had an interview last Friday, we are praying that he gets a call back he says he is a perfect fit. Now we hope they see that too.. So please Pray..
- Right now I'm in the process of preparing to study to sell health & life insurance through NIA a local company looking to hire. First, I had to take an Aptitude test to see if I qualified to work in Sales, I passed. My next step is to study then get licensed. I guess this is what I'm going to do, they guaranteed a good salary for the first year and the industry is booming due to our falling Health care system and more and more people with out insurance. So what the heck!!
- Our next excitement of course will be me studying, Christmas, and then Elissa will start swimming again. January the swim meets will begin. It's going to be a busy end of the year, but hopefully a blessed New Year.
So if I don't make it back on here please have a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year..
The Aurands!
