So I mentioned in the last post that we were spending two nights at the Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City and that is were I left you and too think that that was 2 months ago. Well we made it there and back safely and it was an amazing trip. My goals were accomplished on this trip, goal #1 take Jade on a float around the lazy river while she napped, check. Goal #2 spoil her in any way possible, check. Goal #3 make sure we had great family time together, check.
It was nice to see Evan and Ryan hanging out together and playing, although they always seem to lose each other, one would go down a slide by them self and then forget to wait for the other. Lessons we must learn.
Elissa took a friend with her, which was nice all the kids got along well, the kids enjoyed hanging out on the large floating snake. The snake became the scene of who could stay on the longest and not get knocked off, even Amy and I got in on the action.
Sydney amazes me with how brave she is and that not much scares her, well all except the big bucket anyways.
Jade wasn't too much of a fan of the water, but she didn't mind being held in the big pool. We were thinking the rough bottom of the kiddie pool was bothering her, but what do we know. Jade was such a good baby and happy not much made her upset, she is like her Mommy in that aspect for sure.
Working full time, enjoying the extra income, getting bills paid down slowly but surely. Of course we had to repair our Frig, get Tom a newer car bringing another payment in and higher insurance, looks like full time work is here to stay. We also had to have our camper repaired thankfully tho it didn't cost much more than it did or we may have had to invest an another camper. Sounded like a good idea, I think I'll save money for a new one for a later time, sounds like a smarter idea.
This evening is Elissa's Honors night, it will be her last year attending Middle School Honors night before she embarks on High School. We even have a Swim Meeting for High School this afternoon. Band Camp starts in July. So I guess June 17th, Last day of school, she then can be called a freshman.
I can remember when Syd was born and thinking wow when she starts Kindergarten Evan will be in 3rd grade and Elissa will be in 8th, and that was 5 years ago. Time Flies!! Here we are, Elissa is starting 9th grade and Evan 4th and Syd 1st grade. Wow its only been 5 years...
